Pretty much the same for me...no real fine tuning, i just "M" key the beat in. Have found that there must be at least 1 picture in the picture/song workspace whatever its called (i drag in 5 to start). If not at least 1 it just wont even start to play, for me. So then i start to add beats (checking snap to beat). I keep my pictures in finder window open on the right side of my screen. If just 5 pics and i add about 10 beats or so, adding ANOTHER 5 pictures then will not snap into the right place...at least not the new 5. So, gotta delete the old ones and drag in the new plus the first 5. Deleting is tricky...have to click 2 or 3 times the first or last, then hit enter to get rid of the edit window, then go to the other first or last and shift-click, delete. Then add all the new ones. I just tried doing up 3 of my songs you could check ...my beat markers are close, but not exact. I just did these 3 songs in the last 2 days...seems to work good for me..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-6q0fOPCOg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwz8SJUuLhQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUawS5Lap0sskrongerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880286622461920168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1367061601746214624.post-28619126665467616002011-02-22T16:15:11.855-08:002011-02-22T16:15:11.855-08:00you saved my life. AND I KNOW ALL the tricks in the book on this one - Last night, no problems, BUT today and just as I was running a wokshop for a dozen teachers, showing them how easy it is to use, for no reason when you hit the "play Button" the viewer simply does not play the sequence of clips as they appears in the timeline; I mean some clips appear in the viewer lagging way behind the scrubber, some clips are skipped entirely,(although if you stop the scrubber over a clip, there it is, try to play and oops..what the ?) Have tried every form of edit ( from stretching, using the nuimerical values, splitting at playhead).. the results are the same. Hey, I know this software VERY WELL, have been using it for many years, and have never NEVER had this problem before.EVER. No change to my operating system since yesterday, all the files are regular .jpeg files.. Why today ? It all worked Perfectly well last night when I was preparing this workshop. I found that the camera would not work with my G4 after the purchase. Canon told me that I needed an Intel Mac and it would work fine. My G4 was 6 years old so my wife told me to buy a new computer. I bought an IMac. The camera was not accessabile by Imovie 11 until I purchased Wondershare for Mac to convert the MTS files to MP4 files. I call my camera my $1800 camera.
Nowhere in Canon information was it mentioned what was required for Mac users. When the camera came with a Windows program which was not apparent from Canon's info, I then realized that it was designed for Windows.
Canon keeps telling me that the camera will work directly with IMovie 11.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1367061601746214624.post-11485528494666894932011-01-10T10:05:48.724-08:002011-01-10T10:05:48.724-08:00AWESOME!!! Great job. It was a ton of help and very easy to read. Do you plan on writing any books for iMovie '11? Or will you be posting any "how to" articles on your blog about cool features in '11? I think I might want to upgrade to '11 but, having JUST learned '09 (which I'm still learning), I'm hesitant to make the jump without a guide like yours.
